I love this recipe as there is no yeast. Set up time is a big TEN MINUTES. The recipe said that you can add flavor with dried herbs, fresh herbs, whatever you like. I added a touch of my favorite Italian blend from Oaktown Spice Shop. It’s called Erbe Italiane Di Russo. A jar is equal to 1/2 cup and it’s $6.75. They sale it in bags as well for a few cents less. Great for refills! (Dang! Just thought of that) Also, added chili flakes to the oil when cooking thinking that would add flavor. It did :).
I just can’t get over how easy this was to make and it tastes GOOD. WOW. I wish I would have found this recipe during COVID shut down as pantry always has baking soda, flour, etc. (Not sure how old some of it is, but what the hell, right?)
What was the inspiration for flat bread? I had cooked up a bag of Rancho Gordo Cassoulet white beans. I added fresh tomatoes, bay leaf, black pepper, olive oil and a sprig of fresh oregano in a crock pot. EASY!!! Also, had made an Armenian cucumber salad from a recipe from FoodWise. I didn’t have any Armenian cucumbers, just some really nice fresh ones from the farm box. This makes a great veggie meal. Enjoy!
