Lentils

Do you cook lentils? I do, but not enough to remember the times, etc.

Here goes:

I found this info on the web. (Sorry to say I didn’t note the website. My apologies)

1 cup lentils

3 cups water

Green or Brown lentils – bring to a boil and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes until soft

Black Lentils = bring to a boil and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes

Red or Yellow Lentils- bring to a boil and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

ONLY add salt until done.

I usually add a bay leaf, carrot, maybe celery and other dried herbs….just depending. Follow your instincts.
