I was busy in the kitchen making lemon cookies. My friend’s birthday is tomorrow and thought it would be nice to bake cookies.. The recipe is Zesty Lemon Cookies. I don’t have the information from the recipe I was using, but this one is very similar. I didn’t add the glaze on top as my confection sugar is older than when COVID first appeared in the USA.
I heard my dog barking, but was busy. Did anyone else in the house look out front? Hell no. I finished baking my amateur looking cookies. I come in and sit down by the front open window to cool off. Some a-hole let their dog take a huge crap right in the yard by the sidewalk. I am so done! I’ve always picked up my dogs doings while going for a walk. Damn, already.
What nerve! What really gets me is earlier I was raking and sweeping up the pine needles in the yard and the gutter. The street is never cleaned since it’s a rare occasion in hell when someone moves their car. Tickets aren’t given in this neighborhood for street cleaning, but maybe they ought to be.
I was proud of myself as have been meaning to do this chore for over a week. My back was hurting and I finally got it down to a minimal roar of pain today and decided to go for it. Pine needles completely filled the green can. I was feeling like I finally accomplished a small task today and then look out my window….(I have got to get a fence and a camera in front then I could see what a-hole let their dog take a big ass crap.) Would it be worth it to go after them? Probably not a good idea. Here’s the thing- they never expect you to fight back. Guess what? Watch Yellowstone and you will get the idea.
Update– Upon further investigation, it was not dog crap. It was the roots of the tree glimmering in the sunlight. I misread the signs. The tree was speaking to me. Was it telling me it could make it or was it telling me, SO long, it’s been a sweet ride. I don’t know…..
